Snow-resistant roofing tiles integrate a high-tensile AZ180 steel core (0.48mm thick, yield strength 550MPa) with low-friction polymer coating (coefficient of friction ≤0.15), preventing snow accumulation beyond 1.5kN/m² – critical for Alpine and Canadian regions. The steep 30° interlock angle accelerates snow shedding, while HDPE backing withstands -50°C without brittleness (tested per EN 13583). Granules contain hydrophobic nano-silica to repel ice adhesion, reducing de-icing energy by 70% versus traditional tiles. Validated in Hokkaido ski resorts, these tiles maintained zero ice-dam leakage after 2m snowfall.

Installation requires reinforced eaves clips and 300mm overhangs to direct meltwater away from structures. Our factory provides snow load calculators compliant with ASCE 7-22, with custom widths (up to 1,500mm) for chalets and stadium roofs. Case study: A Swiss hotel eliminated roof raking costs using this system.
