Install the tiles in the correct interlocking direction as indicated by the profile design, usually from eave to ridge and along the specified lateral overlap sequence. Reversing or misaligning the interlock may weaken water resistance and reduce the tightness of adjacent panels.
Each tile should engage fully with the neighboring panel so that the side lap sits flat, straight and without forced gaps. Proper alignment helps prevent visible unevenness, wind-driven rain entry and stress on the interlocking edges.
Confirm the interlocking direction before fixing each row, especially at valleys, ridges, dormers and roof transitions. Small deviations at the beginning can accumulate across the roof, so regular checking helps maintain consistent alignment and long-term performance.
