Enhanced Snow Shedding Capability
The inherent design and surface properties of color-coated stone chip tiles promote superior snow shedding compared to many other roofing materials, a critical safety and structural feature in snow-prone regions. This capability stems from several key factors: the smooth, hard surface of the ceramic-coated stone granules offers very low friction to snow; the rigidity of the steel core prevents the sagging that can trap snow on flexible materials; the continuous, interlocked surface lacks significant ridges or texture variations that can anchor snow layers; and the underlying ventilation space (created by battens) allows heat from the building to gently warm the underside of the tiles, facilitating melting at the tile/snow interface. Crucially, the steep pitch capabilities of these tiles (often down to very low minimum pitches with proper underlayment systems) further encourage gravitational slide. The tiles' strength also ensures they can bear significant snow loads without deformation, but the goal is efficient shedding to prevent excessive accumulation.
Installation of these tiles is similar to other types of tiles, but their energy - efficient properties should be considered during the building design process. Our factory focuses on using eco - friendly and energy - efficient materials in the production of these tiles. We also conduct energy - efficiency tests to ensure that our products meet high standards.
