Backer Coating Technologies
The reverse side of pre-painted coils receives specialized backer coatings providing:

Corrosion Protection: 5-8µm epoxy primers with 70% Zn-dust (cathodic) or Cr(III) inhibitors
Adhesion Control: Silicone release coats (0.3-1.0g/m²) for laminated products
Noise Dampening: Viscoelastic polymers (loss factor η>0.3) reducing vibration by 15dB
Thermal Insulation: Aerogel-filled acrylics (λ=0.018 W/m·K)

Backer formulations prioritize chemical resistance – epoxies withstand 1000hrs salt spray without blistering. For architectural panels, backers provide symmetric tension balance preventing coil curl to <1mm/m. Lamination bonds achieve peel strength >8N/15mm (EN 1464) while allowing clean de-bonding for recyclability. The technology transforms coils into multi-functional composites.
